How should our community respond to the twin challenges and opportunities of peak oil and climate change? That is the question that the Transition Towns movement is asking. People are responding to it in places up and down the country by setting up groups for the purpose of seeking solutions to the problem: “For all those aspects of life that this community needs in order to sustain itself and thrive, how do we significantly increase resilience (to mitigate the effects of Peak Oil) and drastically reduce carbon emissions (to mitigate the effects of Climate Change)?” If you are interested in forming a group in Lexden, please get in touch.
